October 4th - Inflammatory Breast Cancer Day

Rare. Aggressive. Rarely a lump, still cancer. Often presents as mastitis with swelling or pain or itching or rash. Cancer blocks the lymph vessels in the skin. Sudden onset stage 3 or 4. Requires a specific (3-part) trimodal treatment. Often misdiagnosed. Not consistently taught in medical schools. More research is needed. The word needs to be spread. Thankfully I knew & now thankfully you do, too.

For more information, The IBC Network Foundation is the premiere resource for the IBC standard of care, research funding, and the IBC community. A special thanks to Terry Lynn Arnold for her years of tireless work and Texas-sized efforts to ensure our IBC sisters receive the best care and prognosis.

Love First and Hope Always,
